We took a week off work during school holidays to get kittens. Small fluffy kittens to bond with and go "aaaaw" over. Of course it
had to be non-kitten season. So we spent the week, instead, doing absolutely nothing.
Nothing, except for a trip to the Show. Ogled the animals, got freebies, saw an exhibition or two, sampled wares, got sunburned and acquired the regulation Bertie Beetle showbags. A good, but long, long, Loooooooong day. Considered smuggling some Bengal kittens out under t-shirts, but couldn't
quite reach... ;)
I've only just started attacking the Bertie Beetles.
Since then, it's all been extremely low-key:
We all know and rejoice at the Swannie's win on the 24th (YAY!)
Veggie garden is thriving, with the exception of the passionfruit which keeps getting eaten by bugs and the cucumber which doesn't appear to have sprouted at all. Will be able to harvest strawberries, soon, however.
Charissa has been coming round for yoga and bellydancing - we're teaching ourselves with the aid of a book (until the DVDs arrive), and has lined up a gig of some sorts for us in December. EEP. You all
know how un-coordinated I am. This could be very
veeery interesting.
The plan for the kittens, now, is Christmas - so beware little balls fluff running underfoot when you come!
