Birthday Loot

WOOHOO!

Another year older, another year wiser? Don't know about the last one...

With the exception of having to toil, today has been a good day - actually, it seems like my day-of-birth celebrations have been spread out over the course of three days, such was the joyous momentum of the occasion.

Loot was got by all. Photos of said look on Gallery because I'm too lazy to paste them in.

Also the gathering of the family was enjoyable, save for the dogs not liking dinner.

Same time next year?

The Simple Life.

I think I was subjected to one too many reruns of the old sitcom The Good Life during formative years - we've gone and got ourselves a herb and veggie garden. (Having Nat coming from a farming family doesn't help)

Theoretically, it will be bountiful and provide us enough food all year round so we can do the whole self-sufficient, back to nature thing, but in practice? It's a small garden - we might be able to grow one tomato, one thingy of corn and maybe one potato. And that's pushing it.

Not to mention the invaders in the garden determined to eat everything before we can get to it...

Oh, the plum tree is in bloom now, too...
